Walking Together

Walking Together

A Poem by Shalini Dinesh (Poet's World)

We were walking on this lonely beach
As silence gave it long love speech
We strolled along on coarse sand,
walking together clutched hand in hand..

The moonlight made the sky shine bright,

On this hot, breezy summer night,
As I walked drawing lines on sand,
He was next to me, still holding my hand.

We were talking and laughing by the shore
This is the feeling which I hadn’t before,
I was just drowned in his admirable laugh,
For he was the person who was my better half.

The night got darker and darker,
The time was flying faster and faster,
Our eyes spoke more than words,
We looked like lovely love birds.

The moon melted behind the cloud,
as the sun rose from the midnight shroud,
How the day had melted soon,
It was just like a romantic tune.

This is a beautiful, visually stunning write! It brings about feelings of peace and tenderness. You describe a place I wish I was right now with the one I love...

Someday I'd like to be able to enjoy the beach with my honey.
This is a sweet write.

This was good. My only comment was that the first stanza sounded forced to me. Like you were trying to get the rhyme in there so hard that it kind of lost its meaning. Other than that, I really liked the rest of it. Nice work.

I liked it a lot,but the last stanza was a little biy iffy for me.It doesn't flow as well as the rest of the piece, but other than that, everything was awesome :)

Oh, memories make wonderful poetic pieces. I have had some wonderful times like this only mine weren't on a beach. This piece still brought back touching memories that I have and will forever hold dear. This poem flows so easy and the emotion is clearly portrayed with the almost magical words that transport us to this dream like memory.
