Man’s better half
She woos, coos, shares and cares
Adam was lonely before Eve

Some swim or surf the surface.
Others watch the waves in wonder
Some sail its wild winds
and enjoy the ride.
Others only shallow walk its shore..

to a statue I saw once

Not on distant stars
in velvet skiesof which dreamers reciteand poets write
Nor painted on rainbows
in bright colors and hue
or pearled in deep ..
