What a battlefield

My heart and sanity draw their sword

Blood spots are on the field

My Heart and Sanity struggles

Who’ll win?

I don’t know anymore

It seem like an eternal fight

Yet, how much more can the battlefield take?

Across every cut

Blood appears, is it coming from the heart?

The Sanity?

Or the battlefield?
None of them will get out unharmed

The heart will be filled with holes, the sanity will become insanity

And the battlefield will lay there, rotten and buried in darkness.

There is a good song with the title "Love is a battlefield." In 52 years of life. I have learn one thing. Best to be quiet and leave the negative in the darkness. Love can cut you again if you ain't careful. Great words and desire in the poem. I like the ending to a excellent poem.
