On the Way Down

On the Way Down

A Poem by Phantom Heart

I float on the wind
Dancing in the heavens
As it grows colder
I gather with my friends
Together we bond we are like
Silken down and feathery cotton

We condense and precipitate
I descend from the heavens
I am renewed in form
I am as a tear shed from above
Plummeting earthwards
I am joined by my companions

We are like an army
Cascading down in sheets
Thunder is our herald
Lightning our champion
We fill the air with music
As we batter the ground
