Unearthing Life 2

Unearthing Life 2

A Poem by Anand Sehgal

People ask questions and
expect the answers to be close to
their imagination !
When they don't get those, naturally
 speculations are given birth to.

The script then prepared by them ,
is their version of the story,
which has nothing to do with you,
which you were never a part of.

A few times the concocted stories are
a touch more interesting than
what actually happened.
Usually they are futile attempts of
simulating the truth.

ahh yes the power of embellishment ... and the power also of chinese whispers ... don't we all have our very own unique version of reality ??

life happens, then we take a paintbrush to it and make it more appealing for ourselves

great concept here xx

thanks so much darling friend :) you always inspire me to think more :)
The power of perception is a funny thing and how it can distort reality. I really love the last verse - how we mold our memories to remember what we wish to remember. Creative and intelligent - it is always a pleasure to read "you"

thanks so very much :)
Perceptions, perspectives and paradigms - in each individual subjective and selective.
And we wonder why we can't get along… Beyond the observation of a truth is this: How do we shift it in order to create a better world?

So true … our memories are flawed things … they grow like crooked trees.

yes indeed . We love convenience and somehow manage to get it from somewhere :)
If you say it often enough it becomes your truth. Each of us brings our own point of view to everything and everywhere and sometimes the puzzle pieces of our thoughts don't match up.

We love to imagine and we want to predict everything right. It is the very root of human nature.
That is the truth Anand. People have ideas about how things should be and are shocked and outraged when things don't go as planned :)

Aye my friend you are right .You are welcome :)
I feel this is why I write sometimes. If I don't like something that is happening in my life, I write about it and either change it or make something far more enticing. Great job with this as well! (:

thanks so very much dear :) I am honored and glad :)
it's easy to get wrapped up in the stories we are telling ourselves...distortions however, never usually lead to any good place. nicely written.
