Serendipity

Trying to understand the meaning of Serendipity is not as easy as it looks

Serendipity

The travel was long and hard to climb
to reach this mountain peak
To sit along the virgin soil
resting my bones for the thrill I seek

As the sun tips its hat and smiles at me
golden shadows shed light hidden in the darkness
wonderful thoughts popped into my head
birds flying in the heavens while angels nest

Moisture in the air reflects a natural halo
clouds so puffy and high, drifting in the dusk sky
kissing my nose and shading my eyes
I could almost taste those raindrops as the clouds past me by

Millions of trees grow out the ground,
flexing their branches to reach out and show there might
thousands of feet they grow, then sprouts some leaves
twisting, twirling spinning into the night

as the sun bids a fond farewell, to a back drop, difficult to match
the stillness of the vision wrapped around my mind
what was to happen next, one can only imagine
stolen by my heart, in the absence of time

What I was looking for I never did find
those moments to cherish are so divine
instead I found something so delightful
something special, something that is, now mind.
