LOVE FEAST

LOVE FEAST

A Poem by Betty Hermelee
"

sensual

"

Lips to lips with wind-blown hair

authenticate a swanky pair

side by side preponderance of time

they feast on their love when the old church bells chime

naught a disdain for others

first and foremost, their mothers

Birds and bees do love as well

Their passion in nest is where they dwell

Pecks and hums are heard from afar

Bask in a tryst with a falling star

Moonlight beams to all who combine

Wrapped as one in a tempestuous twine

Thanks Kim, appreciate your comment
Excellent effort, combining a distinct rhyme & rollicking rhythm with the spill of bountiful imagery. There's a little bit of a storyline which I'm peripherally aware of as I read, but mostly I'm just chowing down your lively descriptions (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
