MYSTERIOUS EYES

I gaze into those dreary green eyes

like the color of the raging sea

within the bounds of sun’s brilliant rays

those stares with streaming droplets

as though life itself overflows

down a steep mountain

singes a black cavity in my core

Pain is sinister to fragile bones

and crucifies those sorrowful eyes

what has transpired me to mold you in dark?

is it my presence? I wish to be of comfort

yearn to taste your lips

my essence is humbled

Perhaps my muse will break the silence

of your woeful mood

Possibly impart you with spring bouquets

to gently awaken your senses

songbirds to chirp melodies of spring

to hearten your quintessence

perhaps then you shall reveal within

The eyes are the mirror to the soul. Maybe our muse can be read through their eyes. Very nice

Was my pleasure and you are welcome dear Betty.
The speaker seems to be addressing a reluctant lover. Actually, depressed may be a better word. Something painful has happened to the other, so much so that the speaker's best efforts seem to have no effect. Perhaps poetry can make a change for the better. Make that poetry and Prozac.
