When strange monsters begin attacking throughout the world, led by notorious warlords, the world begins to panic. James Connor, a young adult who lived the majority of his life as an orphan, finds himself being transformed into a superhuman being with strange abilities by a mad, radical religious man. Along with other "Freaks", as the superhumans had been called, James and his friends try saving the world from the disasters that lie ahead by risking their own lives, and they also find that not all your friends can be trusted.
