3:The Human is My Mate?!

3:The Human is My Mate?!

A Chapter by Hayllie
"

A human in a werewolf pack house is sure to bring some kind of trouble...especially if she is the Alpha's mate!

"
"Here sit down. I'll fix you something to eat." Rhett said, as he moved around the large kitchen, grabbing something from each cabinet. She watched as he began throwing a little of each thing together with ease. Soon he sat a plate with an egg and cheese sandwich, two pieces of bacon and a sausage patty down in front of her. She looked at him curiously, then back at the plate. "Go ahead. You look like you haven't eaten in a good while. You probably need it more than you want it." Rhett explained. Slowly she took a bite out of the sandwich and couldn't hide the moan that escaped her lips. He just looked at her with a smile.
"Sorry...it's really good thank you." She said silently. "You're welcome. You haven't told me your name...or what you are." Rhett sat down across from her. She seemed to fade inside of herself. Her eyes clouded and he could see sadness fill her. He waited for her to speak, but instead she changed the subject all together. "So are you the alpha?" She asked him, finishing her drink and sausage. He laughed suddenly. "Me? Hell no that'll never happen. i'm just a scout for Greyson and his pack. He's around. He always stays close; although he's gonna be kinda disappointed that you ain't a rogue. There's not been any around in a while." "Why are rogues so bad? They used to belong somewhere right?" She pushed the plate away and looked at him quizzically. "Um..well yeah technically I guess; but they are dangerous. They kill for the fun, take whatever for the sheer pleasure. They are...." "Unpredictable." She finished for him. He shook his head. "That's what you think I am?" She looked down again. "No. Your not like that. I don't know what you are but I can feel...something just below the surface that hasn't come out." He explained just as some of the pack walked into the kitchen. "What's up Rhett? How was the scouting, looks like you obviously found something..." One said. "She's not a rogue. She don't smell like a rogue." Another said sniffing the air beside her. She flinched away from them as Rhett walked to stand beside her. "Leave her be. Greyson will want to speak with her, and he needs her in one piece in order to do so." Rhett warned. They all moved away from her as the last pack member to walk in, looked from Rhett to her.

Greyson's pov

"That smell? It's amazing! Find it! Follow it!" My wolf all but screamed at me as I finished with the pups, following them inside. It was when I finally made it in the front door, the smell hit me all of a sudden. It was like a knife to my senses. Filling my every pore. I couldn't place the smell; lavender and maybe a hint of something else? "Our mate! It has to be her! Let me out I will find her!" "Bellamy stop!" I had to demand. I hated being so harsh with my wolf, but sometimes he was a real pain in my a*s. I did as he wished, and followed the scent inside to the kitchen, where I seen the most beautiful.....human? "What the hell?!" Bellamy was taken back, as was I. Humans were extinct..or so I thought. Technically they were considered rebels. Any that were seen were to be disposed of immediately. "What the hell?!" I spit, and my pack instantly knew I was beyond pissed. "Alpha.....I......um.....I wasn't sure where to take her. She's not a rogue...." That pissed me off more. "Are you f*****g serious Rhett?!! You brought a human into my pack house!! What the hell are you thinking?!" I yelled, my voice threatening and it had my entire pack standing around us in the kitchen cowering. "Alpha i'm sorry." The scout looked down at his feet. As he should. I stalked my way, dangerously over to him and stood inches from him. "Look at me!" I boomed. He did as I quickly grabbed his throat. "Humph! A....Alpha....P....Please......" He struggled.
The rest of the pack remained silent. Good. They know the consequences for getting in my way of discipline. Suddenly something strong grabbed me from behind; and had I known better I would've sworn it was my beta or maybe my delta trying to stop me from choking the life out of Rhett. But when I turned around, it was the human. She had grabbed my arm from behind and had pulled me away from him, not enough for me to let him go, but enough that it turned my body around. My pack looked on in astonishment. "Let him go!" She demanded and I couldn't help but gawk at her nerve. Her guts. "You think you can make a difference human?" I said distastefully. She looked at me with terror filled eyes. "That's right human. You know what we are and what we could do to you." I thought to myself but of course my pain in the a*s had to butt in. "Mate. The human is our mate?" Bellamy all but panicked. "Relax Bellamy! Jeez you act like a pup." "But we can't have a human mate! Think of what will happen when the council finds out!" I mentally rolled my eyes at him, but he was right. I looked down at the girls hand on my wrist. Heat flooded my vision.
There was no denying it now. My mate had finally appeared and in the form of a human. I rolled my eyes at the thought, grabbing her hand. I flung it off my wrist, causing her to stumble back. I dropped Rhett to the floor, in a coughing and gagging heap and turned my attention back to her. "Who the hell do you think you are?" I said cautiously. She eyed me carefully and I couldn't help but let out a small growl at the closeness. "He saved me you a*s! The least you could do is not be such a dick!" She yelled at me. I smirked. I couldn't help it. It was amusing that she felt she had the audacity to reprimand me. "He never should have brought a human to my pack house." I lowered my voice, as to not yell anymore but I kept the fierceness in my tone. "Your the alpha?" I nodded my head. "That's the way you treat your pack members? Maybe the council should see how poorly they have it?" Anger flooded through my veins. I squinted my eyes dangerously at her, and clenched my jaw tight. "Of course I get the human mate with such a smart a*s mouth." I thought to myself. "Never mind. I like her!" Bellamy played. "Shut the f**k up!" I demanded blocking him out completely. "Listen very carefully human....if you think for one second that I will allow you to talk to me so disrespectfully in my house, you are mistaken. I can just as good turn you over to the council as you can give them some bs story of how my pack is treated. I suggest if you plan on surviving at all, to keep your mouth shut and learn some manners." What she did next, completely had me stunned. "To get respect wolf you have to give it!" She spit before landing a good solid blow to my right cheek. My pack stood mouths opened, in shock at the incident. Nobody talked to me like that; and they sure as hell didn't take such a cheep shot at me. It was time to teach this girl a lesson she wouldn't soon forget.***
