April in Cappadocia

April in Cappadocia

A Poem by Burak Batuhan Karakus

Cappadocia wakes up in the arms of April,
The spell continues as dawn whispers softly.
Balloons swell, filling the sky with color,
Like a sprinkle of rainbow raindrops.
Stone-clad towers, ancient and wise,
You stand guard against the deep blue sky.

Under the sky dome,
The rose-laden valley is a fragrant poem.
Pink and white leaves, delicate and beautiful,
Bloom like whispers, frozen in time.

As daylight reveals his golden reign,
The warmth caresses the skin, takes away all the pain.
The days open, in the tender kiss of the sun,
Covering the earth with the pure bliss of nature.
And when twilight falls, a deep symphony,
And dreams come alive under a blanket covered with stars.

Very nice. Understanding English is your second language it is understandable that the nuances of syntax are confusing. In the lines we’ve already discussed, you can choose a number of was to say “balloons, like rainbow raindrops, fill the sky” is just one example. You could also say, balloons, rainbow raindrops, fill the sky. I urge you to see how many ways you can arrange the words and still be correct in syntax. That is one of the best aspects of English.
