Pirate Song

Pirate Song

A Poem by Burak Batuhan Karakus

Though time has passed, you remain unforgotten
Our evenings of poetry under starlit skies
When moonbeams illuminated our tale
You were the freedom of blue seas to me
But vanishing cities cannot contain our bond
Or stormy seas wash away lighthouse dreams
Your heart was always the blue sea to me
Now sailing onwards, cobblestones erased
Sweet smiles, kind words, binding me to life
The tides of memory carry you still.
