Velveteen

Another dream. I love my dreams.

Awakened on silky haze

Clouds in the depths

Of my wild imagination

Whisked away into enchantment.

 

A sleepy embrace

Of silkened silenced comfort

To get lost and whisked away

Into a timeless treasure.

 

The soft gentle breezes

That caress my cheek

And the paper flowers and leaves

Among the trees begin to sway.

Moving and dancing gracefully

As if to their own songs.

 

Crossed golden paths,

Victorian landscapes

With the small statuettes

And fountains glimmering

In the sunlight.

 

Along with the colored hues

Of my garden in the skies

Leading me to a glowing gate

Waiting to be unlocked

In my clouded atmosphere.

 

Above, everything transforms

The clear blue sky gradually

Turning to a beautiful complexion

Colors painting my darkness

As it fades...giving my blacks and greys

The natural color I have been searching for

Shining brightly like a colorful painting.

 

They swirl and mix together

Creating a new world for me

The universe like I have never seen.

An aurora of bright greens and crimson

Shimmering like silk, glittered with diamonds.

 

Icy comets fly

Among mother planets and their moons

As the gods and goddesses of ancient time

Smile, circling around their master Sun.

 

It all fades into their blackness

And find myself shaded beneath the trees

And clear blue waters and waterfalls

Surrounding me as if flying

With Peter Pan and I have just ventured

On a journey to Neverland...

The land of forever young.

 

In my mind of beauty and magic

I will remain in my clouded haze

To travel the universe as I wish

And soar through my eternal skies.
