The world is crying

The world is crying

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

I found this poem in a old book. It is 30 years old.

"
             The world is crying

The world is crying.
Like a forgotten child.

Crying for all the sadness surrounding
every soul on this planet.

My world seem to have forgotten the
dream of peace.

Where all nations can live in harmony.

Where upon all human beings could  learn to cherish
all living life.

But the goal of peace are forgotten.
Men of war control the emotion of the world.

World War two is fading away.
World is falling back to fear and hate.
Talk of peace is gone.
Only threats of war and destruction can be heard.

The day is here.
Where we are over taken by fear  and ghost.
Now we must turn to tears.

Tears for the child and mother whom home was destroyed
in the way of war.

Tears for the Mother and Father waiting for their child covered
in a USA flag to be brought  home.

Starvation and sickness is running wild and millions are dying daily.

Where are the men of peace?

Can we stop the walk to our destined death?

Coyote Poetry
Added one line. Very old poem. A Liberal Coyote who believed world could be saved. Today I hope 30 years later. Can we stop the madness? I pray we can.

Coyote Poetry,
"The world is crying"
It is heavy that something real when you originally wrote is still a reality now. War is such a part of humanity.
Meaningful line regarding the fear in war; "fear and ghost." Those taken and to be I suppose.....
This was kind of hard to read. but "Where are the men of peace"" Where indeed?

We will all drown in our sorrow, it's the way of white man and his ways. Indigenous people respected mother nature.

3 decades and here we are again. The planet needs more watchdogs. Writing coyotes. Barking Perrys. How have we managed to advance so much and leave so much behind simultaneously?

We can and we must, each generation must learn from the one before that the earth is precious and cannot continually be abused by men who often are the scourge of this beautiful planet .

I have no word to describe how I feel right now. This is a poem that should be read in schools.

Thank you for your great works. I love them dearly. They always give me wonderful periods of thought.

It is a shame, that it is so true. You would think with all the death and destruction the world has seen in all our wars that we'd had enough.

Rather than learning from our mistakes we compound them. The difference is we can now kill so much many more and much more quickly than ever before.

I'm sure that if the world would use just a fraction of what they spend on war and the weapons of war on cures for diseases and to end hunger instead what a paradise we would all be living in.

Of course the manufacturers of all those "toys of war" would go hungry. The politicians would have to find nice things to expound on.Perhaps they should go hungry also.

You are right Dave. It seem we have fell backward.
"Tears for the Mother and Father waiting for their child covered
in a USA flag to be brought home."

This line hit me right square in my Army-Mom heart. The entire poem resonated, but this....this is greatest fear of all.

How many nights have I hugged my young man good-bye and asked across the space of the world, "Where are the men of peace?"

This hits close to home. I can offer nothing more than a mother's hard swallow and nod of agreement.
