Are we crazy the people of this world?

Are we crazy the people of this world?

A Poem by Coyote Poetry
"

I worry for the children. What will be left?

"
Are we crazy the people of this world?

I pray a prayer to the spirit of life and death.
Please sent wisdom to the leaders of this world.

We bludgeon our planet.

Who will pay the price for our greed?

Our water is being choke to death by oil spills.
The sea life will die without a cry or outrage by no-one.

    (Oil fires in Iraq)

War is killing people daily.
Killing for religion and oil.
A eye for a eye.
No-one will win.
We will just all be dead.
                  (Death valley, Iraq)

Soldiers are dying for oil and rich men.
I pray these b******s making money off war.
Pay their debt in hell forever.

The world can be beautiful.
We must stop the hatred.
Men of peace must come to the front.
The leaders need to talk of peace.

(My friend Don with his children and my daughter. He was  killed in Iraq in August 2004.)

If we keep going in the direction of hate and War.
What will we leave for the children of this world?

We must get angry and demand the wars to stop everywhere.
We must protect the water and earth.

If we stand bye and do nothing.
We are as guilty as the leaders who want more blood.

... brilliantly written and brilliantly presented ... these are relevant and rampant issues ... aggravated by ulterior motives ... the first step is to talk about it fearlessly and you've done that remarkably ... thank you for writing this and sharing this ... (highest rating) ...

"Deeply felt" is the phrase that came to mind when I read this poem. I actually think it would be better without the pictures: the words can stand on their own.

this is beautiful in a sad way. I love it, I hate it. It really moved me. I love it because its so powerful. I hate it because its true. Well done.

You always write the words a large minority of our world thinks. It's so sad that no one with power will listen. I hope the next generation will fix the energy crisis, but the hope looks dimmer on a daily basis. Every time is a bad time for humanity it seems, but these past few hundred years it is also a wretched time for our Earth. Thankyou for sharing this piece, you always make me think. :)

This was so sad. I felt a few tears come out of my eyes. War sucks. It's hard to get through it. Just the effect it has on all the people around the world is torture and I hate it. You make a very good point. War is ruining everyone!

Coyote your compassion and love for earth and mankind as a complete entity is something everyone can empathize with...your poems have an universal theme which does not demarcate but loves each and every human as one....
I would suggest you look up again for the term bludgeon...i am a bit skeptical about its context here.

This almost brought tears to my eyes. Such a passionate write... Really, the way the world is going there won't be anything left for the next generation. I have three little children. Twenty years from now, if this system of things still exists, there won't be a thing left for them. Its saddening how readily people ruin the earth. Well written poem, once again.

there was a concert by the scorpions ... At the beginning, they said "they wave of hatred must be stopped in this country ... , let the wind of change come ". let say with them:

the wave of hatred has to be stopped in the world, let the wind of change come

Stanza 2 Line 2--Please "send" wisdom to the leaders of this world.
Stanza 5 Line 1--Our water is being "choked" to death by oil spills.
Stanza 11 Line 1--If we stand "by" and do nothing

I am so sorry about the loss of your friend, Don, and all of the friends and family members. War is just plain "stupid" and accomplishes nothing, absolutely nothing. How can we call ourselves civilized? I loved your poem, Coyote; but, I agree, what kind of legacy are we leaving our children. We have to tell the powers that be, "No, we're not gonna take this, anymore!"

I am sorry for the loss of your friend, this is a powerful,
amazing work to ponder. and the pics were perfect for adding power.
