Lilting EchosA Poem by Cherrie PalmerDreamland
The lilting echo of the lyre lays easy on my sensibilities.
Reaching for my heart it clings to my soul, leaving the remnants of harmony within. Weighted lids of rest fall beneath the warming day, and I long to dream. Dreams to carry me across the veil to the Never Place, Where dreams live. Where youth remains, and wishes give us wings. Wings to fly and play or flee the shadowed places. Where sorrows are defeated with butterfly kisses, And sorrow, like our tears are washed away by the Sea. © 2022 Cherrie PalmerAuthor's Note
