Garden's blanket

Garden's blanket

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

shifting Jetstream snaps
with intent Winter attacks
as a willful bud blooms
garden's blanket is taken
that quilted blanket of white

I am so glad it's the first day of spring in Mississippi. But I do enjoy a blanket of snow from time to time!
Love your imagery and your poem!

Spring is such a wonderful time. The new beginning of life for the new year.

Yes, it is! Enjoyed your poem!
I hate the cold. This winter was nothing but wind for us. It seems like everyday I hear it and have to walk in it. The grass turns hard and lifeless, the flowers hibernate and hide their colors. Nope, I'll take fall or spring. Those are my favorites; not too hot, and not too cold.

I heard they're contemplating the end of daylight savings time? It would be nice not having to change the clocks.

Yes I guess we will be on permanent daylight savings time.
Still cold in Michigan. We had first nice day today. The flowers are still hiding. It won't be long dear Cherrie. Spring shall come. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

Here's hoping for a great year.
A blanket of snow covering the ground where crocus show their faces. There's not much warmth here either Cherrie. Still wintry. Fingers crossed we will see more of spring soon. Am enjoyable garden poem. I love my garden too.

We've been getting snow every weekend it seems.
Looking forward to returning to daylight savings time tomorrow. Spring MUST emerge triumphantly someday soon...it simply must!

Sending you some warm sunshine from California, Cherrie!

Seems to me that there flowers have raised their heads too soon. But Nature surely knows more than this old Drifter. Nice images. Great thoughts on early spring. Well done.

Do you have a garden? Do you garden? You're obviously ready for some spring. We had a late freeze and I always worry about those buds that are just about to pop. Popping buds of laughter. Hmmmm....
