Lightly Feathered

Lightly Feathered

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Eventide caresses the sky.
Undertones of plum are lightly
feathered.
End of day is secured
by retracting light.
While silence is interrupted
by the wind.

Such a calm and comforting scene you have created with your word Cherrie. Really nice. My favorite time of the day.

I truly enjoyed reading this. It was pleasantly soothing, even with the wind interrupting the quiet observation of it all.

dearest Cherrie... I am reviewing Poems while the Sun has been setting ... the perfect time to read your Poem, as the Night has fallen and dreams are settling on the soft feathered Clouds. We have been blessed with enough Rain to keep the Flowers full of Nectar for the Hummers and Butterflies. Poetry plays softly as the Chimes move in the Wind . If only the World would settle this Softly... we might create a Peaceful Conclusion to all the Destruction and Misfortune. Prayers and Love, Pat

A feathered sky at dusk is a painting that is both unique and irreplaceable, making one wish that interruption would not cause to miss, not even the wind. Thanks for sharing. /Frederick.

Good morning Frederick and thank you 😊
A beautiful way of showing us the beginning of dusk...using the color "plum"....the tides are quiet, the light is dimming...only a breeze disrupts the silence...so few words with much imagery and description of the part of the day. NICE!

Ah! At one with the natural environment. The fading of the day, and how well it fades in your lines Cherrie. A beautiful piece of brevity.
