Lightly Feathered

Lightly Feathered

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer

Eventide caresses the sky.
Undertones of plum are lightly
feathered.
End of day is secured
by retracting light.
While silence is interrupted
by the wind.

This is a fine poem. The interruption by the wind of the quiet of the poem is a nice tension.

I like that idea of silence being interrupted by something that only makes a sound when it is whipping violently...and yet...this poem is of a calming effect.

What a beautiful way of capturing the end of yet another day. The nightsky, sprinkled with dark purple undertones, the sunlight retracts, going to sleep, or perhaps... to light up another part of the world. Silence, ever so silent, sings of the wind. Thanks for sharing!
