I like the brevity and form of traditional haiku. This is an excellent example, the kigo, being Summer. The Japanese have their own poetry game formed by reciting an opening line then followed by a sustaining line from another player. I just finished reading James Clavell's, "Shogun" and the characters in the book use the game to ferret out one another's feelings. I found it a most interesting concept and custom. The book was fabulous, incidentally. I enjoyed your poem.
