Clothed In Grace

Clothed In Grace

A Poem by Cherrie Palmer
"

my granny

"

Clothed in grace she gently moves.

Peace and love lace her shoes.

Heaven’s favor guides her steps,

And that same nectar is her scent.

Her smile is gentle and her eyes the same.

And her prayers are humble as she makes her claim.

It's been my honor to have personally known several great women who would fit this description; those strong, meek, Christian women who are forces of nature for good. This is a wonderful tribute to your granny.

Yes people like this make us better. I miss her. But she is always apart of who I am.
this makes me want to hug your granny of which you already did with this poem:)

She was amazing. She had 8 sisters and 4 brothers. I so loved getting together with all of them.
Such a magical poem! It’s very calming to read, she’s like an angel.

Yes I think so and thank you Crosby.
My grandmother was the same. She touches my face in my dreams when I am stressed. Whispered to me. You will be alright Johnnie. I loved the poetry dear Cherrie. You took me to a good place and wonderful memory. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

:) thank you my Good friend and I'm glad you enjoyed this one.
This is the complete opposite in intent of a poem I've just read. This one is flowing like shallow clear water and warm like the thoughts of love. Perhaps remembering your Granny. If so she is nothing like my Nan although I loved her just as much.

There is nothing worse than missing a person or people who was/were an extension to one's life and being. Lost a few. Hands extended along with... being available if ever needed

A nice tribute here. Treasure her while you can; time is remorseless.

That's so true. Every one should treasure the people in their lives. She passed on in 2010.
Beautiful poem. Great wishes.
