Blue Sky (sestinaA Poem by Cherrie PalmerI'm still working on it !!!!!:)
Previous Version This is a previous version of Blue Sky (sestina. The morning sun warms the sky As blue birds sing to heavens high they sing of hope laced with love And gaze upon the rising sun The evenings move our minds retrace As a tender longing helps us wake Your perfect smile helps me wake As I gaze at the morning sky Words you spell and retrace K-i-s-s-m-e sends my spirit high my cheeks blush with the sherbet sun and my heart beats with love Lonesome dove croons of love As an eastern wind softly wakes A red-tail hawk spheres the sun Making idle shapes in the sky Tiny zephyr whips a petal high And its path I cannot retrace Lover true I shall retrace Each moment of our love With no thought to the sky so high Your desires I will wake Until your blush matches the morning sky And our passion out shines the sun Soft hue of morning flashes hot the sun As acorn trail a squirrel retrace He checks for danger in the sky A fine spring morning lurks of love As 2nd squirrel is now a wake They dance and tease on limbs up high From his perch he climbs up high And with audacity greets the sun Disturbing the clouds across his wake And for fun his path he will retrace Blue bird Casanova looks for love Across the valley and into the azure sky
