Prologue: Days of Reminiscence

A Chapter by Seeker
"

It started with a dream.. The melancholy of a dreamer.

"
"A Dreamer's Melancholy"

Though clothed in light, unfolds the day
in dream-like state of tranquility
But nay 'tis gone for darkness had slay
And so would be a midnight dreary
Rest, my weary soul..

In fading gleam, I see you through
where feathers falling, where seraphs glow
but then you said you have to go
My wond'ring mind, now wept so slow
Faint, my broken soul..

Oh wind you come, begins September!
Existence flourish in vanity
These sea of dreams, I know its queer
Ephemeral, I wish it may
Yearn, my seeking soul..

If lower than the grave, the heart will sink
Tears freely fall, melancholic escape
As the hourglass ran, the vividness shrink
Warp to the time when soul had shapes
Strive, my thriving soul..

Though one may trod, on broken paths
In dreams and yonder that's of yore
When stars behold the aftermath,
But all will fade 'cause morning's sure
Awake! My sleeping soul..

They say life is so mysterious. There were unexplained phenomena that even until now, people cannot decipher. We never fully understand what it means to live in this world, but still, we live as we tend to forget that someday this life would come to its end. Being a human, yea, there are things that's too hard for us to contemplate. All we know is that, we cannot live without the company of other people. I believe we're not created to be alone after all.
Life is a "come and go" they say. We are all pilgrims in this journey of life. Along the way, we met people and then bid them goodbye before crossroads as they carry on in their journey. Having to meet a person means sharing a new road to walk. It was then that a new world is born. It was actually a miracle, because those persons share a common time that produces memories by which would be etched in the heart, regardless of what kind of circumstances they face , and of what kind of feelings they feel.
I have come to that realization. No, my mind's not blurry right now. I have known how it felt to live as a human being. The horizons are now unfolding before my eyes, though, I simply admit that I still have a long way to go, for the very least, I know how a human lives. Though I may not understand the fullness of it. Still, right now, I choose to believe that I have a purpose and destiny in this world.
Having a life, is a gift. Though right now, I may think of this experience as but a dream, I know that the memories I lived, is priceless and beyond my expectations. Life is but a flight of fancy, but sometimes, we need to wake up. Change our perspective and rise up from the ashes. .
