Broken Petal

Broken Petal

A Poem by Tasha
"

My take on he loves me he loves me not.

"
I love it when you call me beautiful,

But I hate it when you say I'm ugly

I love it when you hold my hand,

And hate it when you don't take me around your friends

I love it when you hold me close,

But hate it when you say you need space

I love you
And I hate you
I want to be with you,
But I feel like I'm selling myself short
Love should be a two way street
And if your not with me
I must be better off without you
So I count my petals
One by one
It says I love you not ...

He loves me, he loves me not. This made me wonder more if the protagonist loved herself enough to cut the tie with someone who treated her so poorly. I'm glad she wises up at the end!

I could be way off base here, (I know you were playing with format here, and being creative,) but by having the last stanza in such small lettering and so compacted, it gives the illusion that her words lack real conviction. I think it would make more impact for her words to get stronger and bolder. Just MHO.

how easy it is to sell a life on the cost of petal of roses..but on the other hand at tyms life keeps a sword swinging on us if we do not take a decision in tym we`ll have to compromise with evrythng...you know when i started reading it i felt iw was an ordinary poem but when i reachd the last line i read it again each and every word was smooth as a drop of rose water....

even it took me 5min to get back to concious mind u drove me dear, something i loved more than nethng.....
keep writting dear....

Love is such a tricky thing for human beings to comprehend. We often do "sell ourselves short" for a chance at love. And I'm glad you've written a piece that empowers someone enough with self love and trust to realize what they really want.

It is so AMAZING! The comparison is so strong! I love it and I hate it. I both love it and hate it. I love this comparison. I can truly related to this. It's so beautiful, sweet, romance and cute! I can understand the feelings so well. I also love the way it flows. Beautifully written.

you penned it extremely well..but perhaps you could have started in red...and ended it with black with bigger and bolder font...then, it would be like : yes!i smashed it in the end!!!...^^

but an amazing write!
