Reflection

Reflection

A Poem by Daniel Gardner
"

Thought of this while staring at myself in the mirror.

"

To see different light
Would be alright
You chance your stance
Then Take a second glance

You smile a big smile
To gaze at your teeth for a while
A frown creeps across
Has you compare yourself to the saddest clown

Unable to see Scares
That are skin deep
Your appearance you hate
For this you don't eat great

You vomit to stay cool
But you fail to see the true fool
You need to relax
You need not to wax

For you are you
You do things no one else can do
But you complain about not being six foot two
You need to believe in yourself
God knows I do

No one else should matter
Except the person that is you.

Yes! I firmly believe if you change who you are
You aren't you anymore. Always be yourself and
accept yourself as who you are, and you will
get much farther in life.

We chose the path we walk on. It's up to us
to do right and wrong. Accpeting yourself
starts within the heart and soul.

Only you know who you are.
I like this write alot. Awesome lesson here.

I love this poem. This is something that I believe a lot of people should read because this gives a message, and a powerful one at that. Great job.

Each person is wonderful and special. The only person that should be worrying about how they look or act is themselves. And if you have one person who thinks you're handsome, breathtaking, and a wonderful person (and I know for a fact you do ^.^) then all the better. I like this one. Strong sense of solemn self-reflection without being too serious.

Ha, I liked it. Kind of a dark comedy. Also I think you mean "You vomit to stay cool"
not "You vomit stay cool"
