Just Like A Flower

A poem comparing the care a woman needs to the care a flower needs.

A woman is like a flower

needing a gentle hand

with love and affection

someone to understand.

 

If it is withheld from her

she'll wither up and die.

 

Just like a flower searching for water 

with roots spread far and wide

a woman needs someone to feed

her soul from the inside.

 

If only a few drops she gets

she will surely fade away.

 

As the flower turns its head

looking for the sun

a woman needing love and affection

will seek it from someone.

 

For locked away in the dark

she's been left for dead.

 

So please give her 

such love so rich and rare

lots of sweet affection too

showing her how much you care.

 

If not, one day you just might awaken

and find she isn't there.

You so well portray in this metaphor a wonderful vision, while this is sometimes true, women can also be more like a "mighty oak" we can do so much that a man would never be able to survive (why do you think it's women who bear children?
