A Poem by 外人 (Gaijin)
"

Hope you like it :)

"
Rivivo l'essenza di noi
in questo timido scambio di sguardi
mentre le nostre anime tristemente sole,
felicemente si rincontrano
e ballano,
ballano le note immortali del nostro amore.
Sento sulla mia pelle il tuo soave tocco
cosi crudelmente allontanato dai miei sensi
per più inverni di quanti ne voglia ricordare.
Risvegli in me una passione mai dimenticata,
intensa, devota, profonda e metafisica
che trascende i limiti dei nostri corpi imperfetti.
E ora ascolto i tuoi lunghi silenzi
e non li cambierei per un coro di angeli !
Le stelle tutte illuminano il tuo volto mentre
la candida notte si colora del tuo innocente profumo
e sussurra ai miei ricordi il tuo nome:
F.
TRANSLATION:
I live again the essence of us
in this shy trade of looks
while our souls sadly alone
happily find each other
and dance,
dance the everlasting notes of our love.
I feel on my skin your sweet touch
so meanly took away from my senses
for more winters than the ones I want to remember.
You wake within me a passion I've never forgotten:
intense, devoted, deep and metaphysical
that transcends boundaries of our imperfect bodies.
And now I listen to your long silences
and I wouldn't trade them for an angels choir !
All the stars light up your face while
the pure night is coloured by your innocent perfume
and whispers to my memories your name:
F.

Great emotional imagery (imagery of your emotions). Unexpected encounters that link us to our past once more must be extremely inspirational, I'm glad you shared this with us. I love the line "and now I listen to your long silences/and I wouldn't trade them for an angels choir !"

It's gorgeous in either language, I'm sure it sounds better in French though....lovely poetry with so much meaning in it's context. Thanks for sharing this one, been there too, you wrote it beautifully.
