Al tempo (translation below)

Al tempo (translation below)

A Poem by 外人 (Gaijin)
"

Hope you like it :)

"
Granelli di sabbia decadono
scandendo alla maniera antica
il flusso incessante del tempo
che scorre, corre, vola.
In ogni secondo che passa vedo
le mura di Troia crollare,
la superba Cartagine bruciare,
la tua tirannide giungere alla fine.
Un minuto alla volta mi libera
eroicamente dalle tue grinfie
e ormai salvo, al nobile Tempo
canto la mia gratitudine in versi.
Al tempo, i miei ringraziamenti,
la mia sincera simpatia e le mie
lodi più generose poiché mai
si è fermato nei momenti peggiori.
TRANSLATION:
Title: To time
Grains of sand decay
stressing in the old way
the unstoppable flow of time
that flows, runs, flies.
In every second passing I see
Troy's wall falling
the superb Carthage decaying
your tyranny coming to an end.
One minute at a time free me
heroically from your power
and already safe, to noble Time
I sing my gratitude in verses.
To time, my thanks,
my honest sympathy and my
kindest praises because never
it stopped in the worst moments.

外人 (Gaijin)
We usually complain about time going too fast, well,
if you've ever experienced a tough week like the one waiting for me from tomorrow on, then you definitely understand why I praise Time for acting this way :)

Another goodie from my favourite translator, fine use of a classical background with Troy..

A series of lapses that negate the reader to propel their own time, well done, good read.
