Misplaced

Misplaced

A Poem by 外人 (Gaijin)
"

Just a little poem I've written setting my mind totally free (didn't care about anything so you won't find rhymes, and things like that, just pure soul)

"
Misplaced, like a fish outside water,
like a polar bear in the tropics,
like an alien on Earth ...
like me in this country.

I don't belong to this place,
my mind has already understood it,
in fact, she flies away and
she pity me because i can't follow.

My heart has many nationalities,
but none of them is where i stand,
i feel trapped ... i want to escape ... but i can't,
my dreamland is far away and i don't know the path to it.

I'm just a soldier, surviving in the enemy land,
who's forgotten where he comes from and crave for his unknown native land.

I can easily connect to this one on the emotional level, and the absence of rhymes does not bother at all - on the contrary it adds more drama and passion to this write! well... if you are a half Brazilian then totally you feel strange anywhere in the world. I am dreaming soooooooooooo much to go to Rio - it is my most exciting dream ever and it will come true one day! :))

Now this, I can easily relate to. I can't remember all the houses I've lived in with moving around so often. I do find myself in a little box sometimes of where I think I should stand but at the end of the day have no idea who I am. Anyway, I am a glad I took the time to read this. Very well written. Très Bien!
