XIII. Luscious Red

XIII. Luscious Red

A Chapter by Green Regol

My broken heart,

Though lifeless meat -

It gives a start;

It skips a beat.

"Can this be it,"

I ask him then,

"Can love befit

The scourge of men?"

He smiles at me

And holds my face.

He answers me

In this embrace.

"It is all true;

All very true.

My love for you,

It grew and grew.

"With coal black eyes,

You had me trapped.

With lips of red,

Luscious red..."
