The Poet Of Loneliness

The Poet Of Loneliness

A Poem by Giulia King

She was an old soul,
desperately trying to find the meaning of her life.
She couldn’t decide which world she liked better.
The one her body was in,
or the one her mind liked to escape to once in a while.
Like a broken flower, she hides her thorns from the cold world.
Hoping immensely that there is an end to everything that is draining her spiritually.
She had a wandering pen and an endless imagination.
Writing gave her a sense of freedom and happiness.
She was the poet of loneliness.

Thank you for taking your time to review, Surya :)
This is why poetry is the only silent language in the world other than love. It gives the person place to breathe in words and at least find a way to fight the demons of life. What is standing out in your writing is the story telling, you showed us how fortune we are to be able to write poetry... I would say one of your strong writes...

Note: In the line "Hoping immensely that there's is an end to" I think you have added an extra 'is'...

You are absolutely right! I fixed the grammar too, thank you for noticing :)
For something you consider to not be of your pieces it's pretty great. I enjoyed reading this. Very creative.

Thank you so much, Erica! I guess I'm just hard on myself.
this is pretty cool. "Like a broken flower, she hides her thorns from the cold world." is a line that stands out to me and sums up. gotta follow your heart and pursue what fulfills your soul and completes you. cannot deny. flows well while spilling the truth about herself. clever picture captures what is being conveyed perfectly.

Thank you for this amazing review, as always, Pete :)!
Loneliness actually evokes varied feelings.
Pen of writers fulfill that loneliness and gives life to those countless imaginations.
She was the poet of loneliness - very deep and meaningful line.
Beautiful poetry, Gullia :-)

Idea wise, I like it, the scribble could be more emotional.
