When it's least expected

though faded and unclear

a feeling so divine

tells me you are near

 

For a precious moment

if only for a while

the comfort you bring

leaves me with a smile...

Julie always takes me into a world that not only is it alien to me at times it makes me feel jelous and also like Fred Flinstone of how rustic and rudimentary my views are when it comes to embelish the heart realm. And because she places me in a place were I feel insecure I can only ask , How can such beaitiful feelings, Quiet as a whisper? Dim as a shadow? Feelingg so divine? If only fleeting but you complete me?
I not only feel astounded but I think there is a lot to learn from this words.

I lost my sweetheart to an aneurysm very suddenly a few years ago. For a long time I was angry - alone - blaming him for leaving me when our lives were just beginning...but now I choose to remember the beautiful times. He was a kind, generous, loving man....not perfect...for some reason he couldn't reach across a table and find a drink coaster...or remember to take out the trash...but he never forgot to bring me flowers...or say I love you bfore he hung up the phone....

There's something to be said about a comfortable love.
I know that sounds unromantic but it can't be exciting ALL the time.
I love those quiet moment, sitting together, reading a book, the paper. Just enjoying a comfortable silence together and every so often a smile. So beautiful Julie. xx
