So they say

So they say

A Poem by Jyoti_Ablaze

They say people change in years,
but you changed me in a day.
They say life is long and hard,
but in your arms I floated and swayed

They mentioned about the darkness

that exists in the alleyway,
but you illumined me from within.

They proclaimed the world to be ravening,
but you kept me safe in your warm cocoon.

They say the day can be harsh
and the sun can give you blisters,
but you wrapped me tenderly
like the moon in the soothing night.

They believe the barren lands can never yield
but you transformed my impotent heart
into a loving blossom!

They both tend to change each other.
Thank you for the kind review.
It's beautiful how you depict how a person can make another change in ways they never imagined. Maybe that's what love is.

Yes perhaps. Thank you for the kind comment.
I feel that everyone's dream is to have a poem like this written about them. Your words are lovely, romantic and beautiful. The use of them is effective and brings the point across in a short poem. I really enjoyed the shortness of it, and how direct it is.

Perhaps changing your sentence structure to shorter lines would help it flow a bit better, but that's the only thing i could say that's 'wrong' with it. Really great work.

This poem was as beautiful as it was moving. Short, sweet and magical. I could feel overwhelming emotion in each and every line.
