So they say

They say people change in years,
but you changed me in a day.
They say life is long and hard,
but in your arms I floated and swayed

They mentioned about the darkness

that exists in the alleyway,
but you illumined me from within.

They proclaimed the world to be ravening,
but you kept me safe in your warm cocoon.

They say the day can be harsh
and the sun can give you blisters,
but you wrapped me tenderly
like the moon in the soothing night.

They believe the barren lands can never yield
but you transformed my impotent heart
into a loving blossom!

Sounds interesting. You capture so many love-things in few love-words. I agree that people go changed with time, but yes, they can even be changed even in a "blink" especially when their heart's being drained into love . . . very eye-captivating and eye-catching poetry you pen'd up!

Oh, it's kinda surprising that you haven't been in love before & besides that, you write such a poetry. Am sure, your fantasy visions're kinda thoughtful enough to melt the melted down inflames of very hearts. Kinda intriguing. The only suggestion I have on this piece would be to get rid of the exclamation point at the end - I sometimes find that adding these in poetry can give a false impression of cheesiness. I really enjoyed reading this piece. If you are planning to submit this into a literary journal, I would also reconsider the centered words. There are a lot of editors out there that view this style as "elementary", and they may not take your writing as seriously as it deserves. Awesome job :)
