she remembered

she remembered

A Poem by KWP

and as she sat,

perched upon the volcanic shoreline

she remembered ….

wind cavorting across her cheekbones

daring her to join the dance of life

and she sank

without realising she was

cultivating her own moment

blue waves crashing into white foam

offering the everlasting

she remembered …

dancing the eternal

shedding

now

and she felt

tears stream along her windswept

cheekbones

as she wandered in her own

gratitude of existence

(she felt tears stream along her windswept cheekbones as she wandered in her own
gratitude of existence) A lovely poetic line! Enjoyed the post. ~Sharon

' .. she felt
tears stream along her windswept
cheekbones

as she wandered in her own
gratitude of '

Those five phrases show a near acceptance of the sadness of what came before - words that hung in such a needy place, albeit in finely described language, my adventuring friend Few can relate such personal feelings in such a concise but emotional manner.

Take care, keep safe and come back soon. Please

I think we all have these moments, those little "sparks" that give us a renewed vigor and appreciation for life. For me, this always happens when alone, in nature. I think quietude gives us gratitude. Well done.

Have I found you at last? Hoping this reaches you at some time so can 'say' how your words find places that few others know about. Such visual metaphors that put reality into a new places.

'.. and she felt tears stream along her windswept cheekbones - as she wandered in her own -gratitude of existence '

Hi Beth! That is beautifully sad. It paints a calm picture but with lot of vigor. I enjoyed the youngful -join the dance of life- to wiseness in the - gratitude of existence.

Love ya right back
I am probably late to this poetic unveiling, but they say, better late than never. This was fantastic. The last two lines really sewed this up for me and made smile. "gratitude of existence" such a cool phrase.
