A Mother's Wish

A Mother's Wish

A Poem by Daydreamer
"

What about our children?

"
A teardrop formulates
And falls weightlessly
Into the ground.

The ground
That shakes and cracks,
Violently.

Suddenly the purity of sunlight
Penetrates and soothes
Her discontent.

As she continues to silently
Watch the endless wrath
Of her children
Whom she wishes
Would one day learn to play nice..

at the first quick read, I thought it was about a mother distraught at the behaviour of her children but then I saw it was deeper than that. beautiful!!

That was a very interesting way to see through a mother's eyes. Well done.

Brilliantly said, from one mother to another.

we can only do the best we can to raise them with love and good values....eventually they will find their way...we just pray it is in the right direction...and they will feel love and peace.

I wasn't quite sure about this until I saw mother earth in the tag. The world is turning upside these days with tumult and turmoil. I like the way you described it here to a T. Impressive poem here.
