Living Through A Screen

I haven't seen people do regular things daily without electronics, but hey I'm one of them too.

Computers, iPods, TV's and Phones.
Everyone living in separate zones.

Headphone, Blue tooth stuck in the ears.
The world will only get worse with years.

Anti-social and blocking out others,
Children even ignoring their mothers.

Electronics, are they a curse or a blessing,
Face to face, everyday lessing.

People no longer know how to live,
Each new generation has less to give.

No one knows how to live in between,
Now that life can be lived through a screen.

I guess it's ironic reviewing this through a website, but I liked this.
I like how the deterioration of people's ability to communicate in person with each other was dealt with directly. It's definitely strange seeing your own life and everyone else's become progressively more computerized.
The short basic stanzas mimic how simplified and impersonal our communication has become through technology. I thought that was a really good touch to it.

we're living in a time where it's easier to just text someone in the other room instead of not being lazy and actually speaking to people face to face. technology has destroyed the human way of speaking.
