Grey Ocean

a poem about sadness as deep as an ocean

  The ocean is grey with rain clouds today

Swollen with the impression of my isolation

Standing on this pier I can feel the dead watching

No longer do I smile and seek sanity with my heart

For I am a prisoner of time and life

Cursing it does no good I only feel useless

What can that bring but another wasted regret

Do I hear the bells from the little girl's bike as it is washed out to sea?

Yes,  and for whom do those bells toll?

Well this time, it was not for me.
