Depths of Sunshine

Yes, I've missed you; Welcome home.

We only have today to make them see.

So we shined;

I finally saw what was important

And that importance

 Made them blind.

 

Casually linger in my trail so I can memorize

Those steps.

 

Like sand-spun plankton, I’ll float away with you.

Though weightless, I felt the depths.

Wading through the great, big blue.

One could get lost searching the extent of my

Love for you.

I drew most inspiration from the lyrics of this song. It really hit and sank deep with me. Such adoration truly inspired such thoughts. I love how you compared this to a discovery of sorts. Thank you for the thoughts, my friend.

The first verse feels a little mysterious, referring to something that can't be known or imagined by me. It feels like a lead-in to the rest of the poem, which really sparkles with fresh uninhibited writing. I won't repeat Coyote (review below), but these lines are so imaginative & well-crafted!
