He told me

He told me that I scare him,

that there’s a darkness in me

but he likes it.

 

He wants to protect me,

he wants to take care of me

he loves the way that my body 

responds to his touch.

 

Our bodies talk

it’s the only way

that we communicate.

But still,

even in submission,

I intimidate him.

 

He said there’s a girl 

who lives in me,

she's young

she's innocent

and he loves her.

This is a startling portrait of a contrasting situation between two people. The details you decide to reveal, the way you hesitantly reveal each aspect . . . you make us FEEL that little girl you're referring to, I feel her innocent hesitancy as your word tumble out. We all have a little childlike person inside, alongside the big grown-up monster we can sometimes be.
