Valley of Sun and Shadow

Valley of Sun and Shadow

A Chapter by Louis McKraker

I passed through a valley of sun and shadow,

informed that one could find rest on either side.

I say either side, because it was a valley divided--

divided by shadow and light.

I was nearly halfway through,

still undecided of which I should choose.

It was in this time, I knew

that "choice" was an illusion;

only there to make one choose...

Often to make one choose unwisely,

I have to add, as my only advisement.

As I, like an atheist,

passed along,

not knowing what to make of this,

until choice had, too, passed on.
