Gluten FreeA Poem by Luke L
Man why does everyone want to be free of me
Gluten free What did I do to you to be deserving of your Scorn it's unnerving I tried my best to comfort I was your mother Making you feel better I gave you myself Like a person in a snowstorm stuck in a cave Sacrificing themselves to cannibalism Oh look at you with your rice and your quinoa You can't say I wasn't more delicious No you can't take that away Come back come back please Let me keep you company Have a beer and a bun You're making me sad Let me sit in your colon As cement in a bucket that sat in the sun for days Please don't go gluten free This is me your bestest buddy wheat talking You know me Your parents weren't wrong to make you well acquainted With me Would you doubt them Come now Please don't liberate me My gluten plea
