New Flower In My Garden

This is for my little sister. Right back at you, sweetheart!

I’ve always been the smallest, never big enough

Left out and not counted, I was see-through

I want to help someone, make their outsides tough

And let them see the glorious truth

 

You’re my blessing, little sister, my heart

Through everything you have a hand to hold

As close as wires make us, never to part

I only need to think of you when I’m cold

 

So thank you my new, so dearest one

For your beauty and your light

And thank you for your darkness shone
