Within

When someone tries to dim your light

Remember - there is a sun in you.

As long as it will shine, you’ll be alright

No shadows can ever break through.

 

And when it hurts to breathe -

Close your eyes and slowly exhale.

To the world you may seem naïve,

But the truth will always prevail.

 

Give it a day, give it a year,

Its nature cannot stay hidden for long.

Although is easy to be ruled by fear

                                                        of the unclear

Just remember you are precious - you are strong.

 

Face the world with joy

And you will feel it’s warm embrace.

Be your own hope, not your enemy’s toy

And you’ll find happiness shining ablaze,

 

Where it always has been.
