Dear Kelly, the whole world waited. It is such a tragedy. It is a dreadful loss, but the 19 year old, that breaks your heart. He had only just got going with his life.

Indeed. The boy's aunt was quoted, saying that he was "terrified" to go, but he did it for his Dad. .. read more
And the young 19 year old was scared to death about going, but he went because it was Father’s Day weekend, both he and his father met their demise….blown to pieces…..a tragedy …..

at least they never knew what hit them...no suffering. And they knew the risks...but so, so sad.
A really tragic lesson learned.

Excellently captured Kelly.
Normally I don't bother with the news, I don't even have a TV... But it's been impossible not to hear about it, so I put the news channel on (phone) and couldn't believe what I was hearing.
It was like a real life truman show/ soap opera mash up, that everyone was hoping would end with good news, but that's such a rare commodity these days that I think we all knew we were hoping against hope.
Next it will be "Who's to blame" and it will run and run, without any thought for the next of kins and loved ones who knew them.
I don't doubt the movie rights are being haggled over as we speak!

Definitely a heartbreaking story that is hard to even imagine. Nice tribute to those adventurers who lost their lives on this tragic expedition.
