Nocturne

Nocturne

A Poem by Nothing Personal
"

night-time

"
What happens at night
no one keeps a watch
and is
forgotten easily
by the wisp of the day
those silent outcries
those blind alleys
become livid then

but when

but now

watch the cars go by
one by one
one by one

.
. the success of this spectacular piece lies in the fact that i thought of paul even before i read your note ... oh, stealing from paul is so fun ... and he is the chief of inspiration in the fourth dimension ... what can i say, NP when you honour my coach thus ... i am simply thrilled to bits ...

. the loneliness that urban life induces ... the images ... the traffic ... the monotony ... the isolation ... are critical ... it is only when we express them that we take the first step towards coping with them ... you reach a very large audience with this one, NP ... reaching all those of us who live almost in seclusion though ... on the surface ... all's good ...

OT
cars go by
one by one
nowhere to go
no-one to see
trapped in a cycle
of nocturnal blues...
