A Chapter by Kathryn Smith

Walking out into the dark cutting out a different path

lead by your beating heart

all the people of the town cast their eyes right to the ground in  matters of the heart

the night was all you had

your ran into the night from all you had

found yourself a path upon the ground

you ran into the night you cant be found....

I need the woods to breathe.

I need to sprint up the path and fly down the hill. I have to find the river and sit on the tree stump and think everything through.

I need to run away from their words. From their fighting. I want to hide myself from this world just for a moment.

It's why I like summer so much. So I can race the demons.

I can dart away feeling so uneasy and then return cured from pain.

This song is mockery.

Your heart is racing. It's pumping at a high speed, about to explode from your chest.

You feel you could almost die from it...but you must breathe and return home.

This is your racing heart

can you feel it?

pumps through your veins

can you feel lit?
