Butterfly eyes

Butterfly eyes

A Poem by Patricia Wedel
"

Shades of azure and green... a reflection from the sea... gaze across the billowing waves to glorious days of pleasure-filled moments wild and carefree...

"
The wind swept me into your arms where the sea
and land met in a cove of mystery and love...
as the scent of roses filled the air with an
aphrodisiac of apricot liquor pouring from
a fountain borne of ancient stolen moments...

The sunset in golden and burgundy shades of
passionate delight filled the night with notions
of Arabian nights and fruit of forbidden
appetite became the dreams of lovers as
angels played music from a far off galaxy...

Peace was as lovely as a thunder cloud filled with
beauty and celebration of ancient lore...
as the tide went out to explore the unknown
mysteries of the sea bringing treasure fit
for a King and Queen who once ruled the Sea...

Your poem has a way of representing the journey of being swept up by affection or sex or even food or other pleasures! You start with visions by the sea, then the journey takes off like a magic carpet ride thru a variety of landscapes & sensations, well-crafted for all the senses. Then this journey slowly returns to the original location by the sea with grand & dynamic descriptions that could be felt as the climax of whatever journey one has been on! *wink! wink!* Fondly, Margie

You have the extraordinary knack of magnifiying mounds into mountains, ' .... became the dreams of lovers as .. angels played music from a far off galaxy... ' that is such a discreet hint or more!.

the juxtaposition of the dangerous and fierce, with that beauty...how love can be dangerous, yet so fulfilling...
