A new & brighter day . . . for this we all must pray. Sacred space inside or out . . . the LOVE of Jesus is what it's all about! As I read, seeing your photo in my peripheral vision, I was thinking how this flower is so bright & tall & strong & demanding of attention, like how magnetic it would be to be near Jesus & feel the way He pulls our attention. I can imagine the storms battering down all the other foliage, but this flower is so resilient, it rises after the storm to continue being a beacon. Your allegory is entrancing! Here's hoping for an Easter weekend that marks a change in the tides, a softening of the strife & some stretches of bliss for you & yours! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I actually discover Dahlias about ten year ago. The history of it's origin is fascinating, if you get a chance to google Dahlias. Of course the tall White Lillies are often seen at Easter. However, just like with people, it is not so much how tall you stand, it is the Spirit that is strong. I was inspired to pen this poem when I was looking for an Easter flower at Lowe's to Celebrate Easter Sunday. I chose a Dahlia that has about six buds that will bloom as the sun stirs their emotions with a bit of rain... the perfect prayer flower as the days go by. The color I have now in my yard is the exact color combination as in the Photo.
Lovely to hear you speak of Jesus. There are actually people who live on this earth who are as generous and forgiving as when Jesus spoke the Beatitudes in older days. It would be amazing if we witnessed a change of Tides... a softening of the strife. May your Easter be blessed with bird songs and heavenly happenings. with love and prayers, Pat

Dahlias remind me of my paternal Nan. Her postage stamp of her front garden was filled with them in summer. All varieties, pom pom and longer petals. Beautiful intense colour. Nothing grew in my nan's backyard as it was in the shadow of rail arches. She made up for it with her dahlia patch. For me that was her hope. Your lovely poem Pat is one of hope for Easter day. Happy Easter dear friend in these troubled times.

Your Nan seems to be like my Mother and her Mother... with their determination to plant flowers. Dahlias are somewhat hardy and can weather a storm if given a bit of shelter. So many flowers, and so little time in the glow of our golden years. May your Easter be blessed with warmth and etched with love. truly, Pat

What a delightful poem. I love Dahlias. My mother grew them in her flower garden with giant double Irises, Tulips and Gladiolus. I've decided on a reading of Psalm 91 for Easter Sunday with my family. May God bless you and yours this Easter season as we celebrate the risen Christ.

I refreshed my memory by reading some of Psalm 19.
Rejoice in the beauty of the Earth. Embrace the love of Christ as we pray for our World this Easter. Thanks for your beautiful review. truly, Pat

Most people will be praying at home this Easter Sunday, but any place is a good place to pray....especially in these trying times. Happy Easter to you and Roger, my friend. May rainbows and lullabies be yours. Lydi**
