Lemon Meringue Tart

Lemon Meringue Tart

A Poem by Patricia Wedel

My estranged heart has been crowned with

whipped clouds where songs are hummed in

murmurring moments when you appear with

your usual extraordinary Smile and Sea green eyes

so deeply framed in Blue...

I knew that it was only a matter of time when

my heart would melt and the Sun would go down...

Sea green eyes with blue. Captivating, mesmerising and with smiles too. That lemon meringue tart with its whipped clouds sounds very tempting. Shall we have a large slice with an English cuppa Pat, and sit and talk it over in your garden. Love this poem.

Thanks for the beautiful words ....🌹
There are no birds here. I'm wondering if this is what happens when you are fully enamored by some handsome hunk of human. It becomes all about munching his delights & the featheries can fly away until some other dull day that's lacking in whipped meringue topped by sea green flirtations. I'm catching a spell here . . . someone is transfixed & it makes me wish I was, too! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

So true and well said. Enjoy and be safe.
Beautiful imagery! I also really like "whipped clouds" whipped seems to be a perfect way of describing clouds and it fits wonderfully with your poem and poetry. Amazingly explained and expressed. Tyfs
